PIG MADNESS III
July 14, 2007

From the ashes he rose, like a Phoenix. Down by three games, Adam Meyer gave it all he had and achieved glory, gold, and vindication.
Meyer started out the day with backing out of a much hyped "Hair vs. Hair" match, which of course didn't sit well with those who showed up to witness the spectacle. And although Adam took a lot of abuse from that decision he showed that he kept his game face on. Adam, they say...can pass the pigs.
The final match was a stellar performance and well earned pole position from Adam Meyer and Laura Brunner. And while Laura did everything but throw the kitchen sink at him, Meyer stood his ground. Not only did she gain the respect of the Pass The Pigs Federation, but she gained the respect of the Champion.
Meyer came back from 3 games down to win the best of 7 four games to three! That's right, Laura was up 3 games to 0 and pigged out at 95 points only to have Meyer come back and win that game and then an unprescedented 4 in a row!
In a post game phone interview Adam spoke highly of his competition and was really stunned that he managed to pull it off. "I gave it everything I had. I thought I was done for. I just didn't give up and it paid off. But really, she kicked my ass until that fourth game and then I hung on, because I had too." (ok, those aren't really exact quotes, but that's what he basically said to me)
Meyer can be seen in this photograph receiving his trophy and his $1000.00 purse - one of the largest in Pass The Pigs history. Congratulations to Adam Meyer and Laura Brunner for showing that it takes more than skill to pass the pigs. It also takes some luck and a tireless, never give up attitude.
